This single-origin, single-cultivar first-flush Okumidori ceremonial matcha from Shiga, Japan offers a refined balance of gentle umami and mellow depth. The profile opens with a soft yet distinct nori-like savoriness, layered with a mild, pleasant floral aftertaste that adds complexity without overpowering the palate.
Prepared as usucha, it delivers a silky, well-integrated cup with a clean, mellow aftertaste. In a latte, the umami carries gracefully through milk, while the malty undertones deepen, creating a rich and harmonious flavour with a velvety mouthfeel. It also produces a fine, stable foam, enhancing both texture and visual appeal.
